I woke up this morning to Andy’s friend Jake poking his head into my room. Ah, Merry Christmas! Now we’re eating way to much chocolate and watching Night at the Museum.

I appeared to have strained my lower back yesterday while buckling my children into their seat belts on the bus. I am in a great deal of pain and frustrated. Annoyed would be a better word.

You’re here already? I’d really like to sleep in a tad more just an hour or three! I hear a nap calling my name today.

I’m at the end of the hall and Tyler is making bread in the kitchen. All I can hear is him blowing at the oven and squealing with delight like a tween at a Twilight movie.

A few months ago, I got the crazy idea to snatch my grandmother’s cookbook notes and try my hand at a few of her “signature” recipes. Well, I have finally have her cookbook and I’m starting with Butch Meinhart’s cough syrup. Surprising right? Well, I think it’s an easy start since it’s almost Christmas, but it could potentially be a flop because it is “medicine.” Tomorrow my goal is to purchase schnapps, bourbon, glycerin, and rock candy.

Hooray for being a teacher at christmas! Here’s my goodies: whole foods g/c, 3 target cards,borders, costco size chocolate (mostly dark though), socks, kisses, crazy ornaments, hippie candle, bookmark. That’s only 4 kids how awesome.

I’ve made a list of blog topics instead of blogging it all out. Hopefully soon I’ll write it out. In the mean te I’ve been scrambling to get my kids art projects for their parents done on time. I’ve also found a totally trashy series to read.

I go through these phases where I just don’t really feel like blogging about life and then I have the urge to do a brain dump. It’s rather annoying. Several things have happened since my last blog post.

I’ve helped my mom and dad set up video chat with my sister. It took a lot of patience to break it down but I think they really enjoyed it. It was good to see her but I still miss her. South Dakota is so freaking far away from TN.

I finally got the iphone. Mine is white and I’ve already dropped it, so I know have a pretty raspberry pink case. I’m getting used to the phone. I appreciate the simplicity/smartness of some things, but it’s difficult for me to drive and hang up/dial. I haven’t quite got the voice activated thing down yet.

I cleaned the shower last night and woke up this morning to an entire bottle of shampoo all over the floor. Good Morning to me!

My preschoolers perform next Monday at a retirement village. It’s a holiday performance because we’re not singing Christian songs. Why? Because I don’t know that many kwanza songs to compensate.

It was 60 degrees yesterday afternoon. Take that  December!!

I’m ready for Christmas and to go home this weekend to see people.

PS We get to babysit Ms. Shae this weekend. We’re a wee tad excited!!!

Blogging from the phone is tricky. I’m still really slow. I like the new phone but I Miss the familiarity of my old phone.
